Where STEM Learning Becomes a Long-Term Journey
The Girls Set Go Talent Academy is our year-round community for current participants and graduates of the Tech Bootcamp, bringing together underserved high school girls who are building futures in AI, robotics, design, and technology.
Overview
The Girls Set Go Bootcamp and the Academy work together.
A four-week STEM experience can spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce new possibilities. Lasting growth, however, comes through continued learning, mentorship, and access to opportunities over time.
That’s why the Talent Academy isn’t a separate program. It’s the year-round community that supports students before, during, and after the Bootcamp. From the moment of registration through years after graduation, members have a single place to find their cohort, their mentors, their resources, and the community walking alongside them.
The Bootcamp launches the journey. The Academy makes it last.
Every student who joins a Girls Set Go Bootcamp is automatically enrolled in the Talent Academy, gaining year-round access to mentorship, resources, opportunities, and community.
Built on Four Pillars
The Academy is structured around four pillars that work together to support every stage of a student’s STEM journey:
Together, these pillars provide students with the technical skills, mentorship, exposure, and opportunities needed to navigate the journey from STEM exploration to future careers.
Mentorship
24 virtual mentor sessions per year, connecting members with executives, engineers, designers, and college students from across the tech industry.
Mini STEM Series
8 hands-on workshops per year covering AI, machine learning, UI/UX design, robotics, web development, cybersecurity, and data literacy.
Hackathons & Showcases
One annual hackathon and the
STEM Futures Summit, where members build real projects, present to mentors and sponsors, and strengthen the portfolios colleges and recruiters look for.
College & Career Readiness
Quarterly college prep sessions, portfolio reviews, internship-matching, and resume coaching delivered by HR professionals in the mentor network.

Why This Matters
Skills without access don’t change outcomes. A girl can master Figma or train an AI model, but if she doesn’t know how to translate that into a college application or land her first internship, the talent doesn’t convert into trajectory.
The Talent Academy closes that gap deliberately by surrounding every member, from her first day in the program through years after graduation, with the mentors, opportunities, and support needed to turn STEM interest into a STEM career.
The Academy serves as Girls Set Go’s long-term workforce development pathway, helping participants progress from STEM exploration to college, internships, and future careers in technology
By Q1 2027, the Talent Academy will support 100 active members through mentorship, technical skill-building, career readiness programming, and STEM opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.
